Silk dupion is a silk fabric, also known as Dupion. It is made by using thin warp thread that produces a tightly woven fabric with a plain weave.
Dupioni (also referred to as douppioni or dupion) is a plain weave silk fabric, produced using fine yarn in the warp and uneven yarn reeled from two or more entangled cocoons in the weft.
In comparison to other silk fabrics, dupion silk fabric is a bit strong because of its dual thread nature. In addition to being the most durable natural fabric, dupion silk fabric is also environmentally friendly. Dupion silk fabric is also very comfortable as well as one of the most fabrics available.
Blending classic craft techniques with contemporary designs, this handwoven saree has been intricately woven. Pallu of this saree is beautifully decorated with zari thread in beautiful pattern.
